Blue moon night

The red sun recedes, an owl voices it’s call
A rare luminary impels the clouds to fall
A sprightly chill gluts the warm air
The moon alludes from its hazy snare
A gleaming beacon in an endless void
It always does its best to avoid,
The hybrid mixture of twilight
By dissenting from complete sight
Glistening and glowing with silvery white
Dispelling dark shadows of the night
As the sky's blackness spreads
Moon rays seep like silken threads
Gleaming the earth's sable surface
Blissfully descending like heavenly grace
Slowly a gilded dawn shall near
The cosmic pearl will disappear
Behind the scorching yellow sun
Outshined, sadly it melts being sullen
Even so, the moon has besought us all
To bask in its light and evade fear from night fall

Enlightened soldier

Fumes of war spread through out,
Camouflaged within was a soldier’s silhouette
Silently he strode out from the smog
For every step he had to slog
Tired and distraught he drew his weapon down
And gazed the battlefield with a frown
All he thought of, was that he had fought for honor
But his thoughts ceased when he heard another
It was his foe, helpless who sought his care
At that sad moment he decided to spare
Not only his rival’s life from perishing
But also himself from killing and sinning.
